Polisportiva Tavarnelle

Our story begins with a group of people from different social, cultural and political backgrounds, united by the idea of ​​creating a "Polisportiva", that is a sports association that by combining many and different sports, youth and amateur, became an organized structure capable of managing all the aspects necessary for the realization of its objective, that is, responding to the needs of its territory.
Thus began our work in 1989.
Right from the start the old statute established the mission or rather the principles of our Association, that is, to support all the sporting practices that were required in our territory.
Nineteen were the founding members and Giuseppe Guttadauro was the first president for three years, the subsequent presidents Alessandro Mori, Fabrizio Cresti, Mauro Maioli including the current Antonio Campone were all in charge for several years.
Each of them has always thought that sport undoubtedly plays an important role in the training, development and education of the younger generations, and that it represented an opportunity to improve the health of citizens and preserve health and quality of life until at the third age.
Therefore, each President, together with the Council, has tried to improve the services to be offered to all its citizens with the aim of providing more and more choices.
With this idea, over the years skating, pilates, zumba and yoga courses were born.
artistic gymnastics, karate and basketball are added to the historical activities managed at the Polisportiva as at Afa.
We must also consider all those amateur activities that live within the Polisportiva: cycling, running, trekking, womens and mens basketball and mens volleyball.
Just in these days we have started the statutory process based on access to the third sector register, in order to have the necessary tools to become a qualified interlocutor with the Administration.
